2010 Outfitters Block Party Photo Slide Show
2010 Outfitters Block PartySince they first opened their doors in late 2006, Outfitters 4 Kids in Pendleton, Indiana has provided children new clothing, shoes, and other items to start out the school year that might not otherwise have been able to afford them in the South Madison School District in Indiana.
Outfitters 4 Kids was started by Michelle Marks and Mary Harvey. The idea of Outfitters began after Pendleton’s first Back-to-School Fair, a fundraising event put on by local churches to raise money to buy backpacks and school supplies for children on the free and reduced lunch program in the South Madison Community School Corporation of Indiana. Home Improvements
Back-to-basics home improvements can help lower taxes. While small things help, it's the big steps consumers take to improve their home's energy efficiency that truly make a difference, according to researchers at Scientific American magazine.

Less than 10 percent identified what researchers say are more effective measures -- improving your home's overall efficiency, like buying energy-saving appliances or replacing old windows with more energy-efficient ones. Why Do We Do That?
Many consumers need help recognizing when their privacy is compromised, according to a new study in the Journal of Consumer Research.
"How can we make sense of the contradictory attitudes that individuals display toward privacy—from the seemingly reckless willingness of some to post personal and even incriminating information on social network sites, to the concern people express over the range of information being collected about them and the way it's being used?"
