Creating The 2008 IndyRacing™ League Safety Car

This year the IndyRacing™  League chose Penske Collision Center of Indianapolis to turn the winning design submitted by Mr. Richard Clark from California into the look these 2008 Honda Accord Safety Cars would be worthy of. In this ultra modern 40,000 square foot facility located on east 96th street two master auto technicians spent most of the month of March turning these 2008 Accords into masterpieces.

Penske Collision Center’s master auto technician, Mr. Jeff Denny and their paint team, master painter, Jim Warfel and paint tech, Jon Denny, took this award winning design that was only on paper, through the entire process at Penske Collision Center of Indianapolis. Applying this years design to, not just one but four of theses perfectly matched 2008 Accords was Mr. Jeff Denny and the application of the colors was expertly done after Mr. Jon Denny, paint tech, prepared the cars for spraying by master painter, Jim Warfel.

These Official 2008 IndyRacing™  League Safety Cars will make their first public apperance in at the GAINSCO Auto Insurance Indy 300 in Homestead, Florida on Saturday, March 29 on ESPN2.
