Pendleton, Indiana (08-26-2010) - Many exciting events are now being planned to make the 11th annual downtown Pendleton festival the best ever! Here's a couple things you might want to know right away!

Christmas in Pendleton 2010 Postal Cancellation Stamp

The very popular Christmas in Pendleton Postal Cancellation Postmark will return for it's 3rd year.  A very special postmark has been designed by Kelley Jent of Pendleton featuring a small child mailing their Christmas Wish List to Santa in front of our Pendleton Post Office.  This postmark is only available on Sat. Nov. 13th from 9am - Noon!  You can take your Christmas Cards, letters, or even your bills, to the Pendleton Post Office and "request" this special postmark.

And, a new item will soon be available this year ... beautiful canvas bags with an outside pocket ... featuring the commemorative  postal cancellation design.  A limited number of the bags are available at only $15 with proceeds benefiting the Pendleton Business Association, to help defray costs of putting on the festival!  After September 15th, stop into The Flower Cart and see these beautiful bags from all three years of the postal cancellation event.  They make great gifts to give or keep for yourself!

Don't forget the fabulous Snowball Toss across State Street at 12:45 pm and the Christmas in Pendleton Parade at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 13th.  To participate in the parade, please complete the attached application and return to me as soon as possible.
