Google Rally-Anderson, Indiana

Google Rally In Anderson, Indiana

Anderson, Indiana 03/15/2010 – Anderson, Indiana for Google Fans held a rally at the Paramount Theater this morning dubbed, ‘Googlemania’ by Lori Sylvester of the Anderson, Indiana AIMS Group. It was big. Anderson Mayor Kris Ockomon as the MC, as area Google fans voiced their support for what could possible be the biggest thing to occur in Anderson since the launch the Nestle’ operation there.

Per Google’s announcement, “Google is planning to launch an experiment that we hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. We plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Our networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today”. Ever since that announcement, the race has been on all across the U.S.

As of today, the Google for Anderson Facebook page has over 2,500 fans. This is one of the largest fan bases of any Facebook effort in central Indiana. This says a lot for the commitment of, not only the City of Anderson, Indiana, but those who live in the area to land Google’s High Speed Fiber Network.

At the end of today’s Google Rally, Mr. Darren Grile had promised if the Anderson, Indiana Google Facebook Fan Page reached 2,000 fans he would jump in a lake. And so he did. A promise is a promise.........
