Madison County Farmer Wins $2,500 for Lapel FFA
 David Bodenhorn of Lapel has been selected as a winner in America’s Farmers Grow CommunitiesSM, which gives farmers the opportunity to win $2,500 for their favorite local nonprofit organizations. The donations are available through the Monsanto Fund. Bodenhorn has designated Lapel High School FFA to receive the award in Madison County.

Indiana Attorney General Teams Up With Goodwill To Sell Unclaimed Items
 Indiana’s auction of unclaimed assets is now on Goodwill’s online auction site, announced Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller today. The items up for auction are contents of safe deposit boxes that were turned over to the state as unclaimed property. Some of the more interesting items up for auction include a Gerald Ford signed football card and antique tobacco pipes.

5 Counties Change Income Tax Rates
INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 2, 2011) – Income tax rates changed for Carol, Hendricks, Jasper, Martin and Tipton counties as of Dec. 1, 2011.
The resident rate has increased in Jasper County from .0305 percent to .03114 percent, in Martin County from .01 percent to .015 percent and inTipton County from .0133 percent to .0158 percent.
The Carroll County resident rate has decreased from .0155 percent to .015039 percent.  More
