Welcome to Week 14 of “Couponing Tip of the Week”.  Each week I will share a Couponing Tip as well as a Quick and Easy Recipe.  I’ve been couponing for over 30 years and look forward to sharing some of my knowledge and experience with you.

This week’s topic is: Coupons to Troops

What do you do with your expired coupons?  Like most people, you probably throw them away or put them in the recycling.  Did you know that our US Military Troops overseas can use expired manufacturer coupons?  They can use them up to 6 months after the expiration date.

For more information on this program, visit:

Coupons for Troops (www.couponsfortroops.com) where you can adopt a family

The Overseas Coupon Program (www.ocpnet.org) where you can adopt a base (great for non-profits who want to participate)

The Krazy Coupon Lady (http://thekrazycouponlady.com/coupons-for-military/) – you can send your coupons and they will then send them to their adopted bases

Coupons for Troops and The Overseas Coupon Program websites have a lot of information to answer any questions you may have.  This is an excellent and inexpensive way to help our troops.  When saving your coupons, keep in mind the time it takes for them to receive them.  I send my coupons that have expired within the last 2 months to The Krazy Coupon Lady.  You can also send unexpired coupons as well.

If you choose to adopt a family or a base, be sure to read all of the instructions carefully before mailing a package.

Be sure to subscribe by email or RSS so you won’t miss a post and follow me on Facebook as I post coupons on there that I don’t post on my website.

I found a taco version of this recipe on the internet last week, but decided to try it with pizza ingredients instead.  My husband and I both really enjoyed them.

Pizza Wraps

§         1 pound ground chuck

§         ¼ to ½ cup barbeque or pizza sauce

§         Pepperoni slices

§         Additional pizza toppings

§         Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

§         Tortilla or Enchilada shells

Brown ground chuck; drain.  Stir in pizza or barbecue sauce.  In the center of your tortilla or enchilada shell lay your ground beef mixture.  Top with pepperoni, and any other pizza toppings you prefer and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.  Fold wrap (bottom, then each side) and cook for approximately 1 minute on the George Foreman.
