BARBECUE RIBS

Bookmark and Share

Richmond, Indiana - With the sun shine and the warm weather I couldn’t resist cooking out side on the grill! One of our favorites is barbecue ribs with Fred’s Mothers home made barbecue sauce. I use this recipe on anything I want to barbecue. It is delicious on chicken as well. I can keep any left over sauce in the refrigerator for about a month.

BARBECUE RIBS

4 racks of baby back ribs

1 large bottle of Masterpiece Sauce

2 ½ cups sugar (or to taste, we like ours sweet).

¼ cup catsup

1/8 cup white vinegar

A splash of liquid smoke

And a whole bunch of napkins!

I rub each slab with salt and pepper and wrap them separately in heavy duty foil, bone side down, and bake at 300* for about 3 ½ to 4 hours, until they are done and tender. I usually do this the day before especially if I am serving them after church on Sunday because they take so long to bake. After they cool I cut them into 3 pieces per rack Mix all the above ingredients together (except the napkins, you’ll need them while eating). Place ribs on grill and slather with your sauce. I leave the ribs on the grill just long enough to get warm all the way through. ENJOY!
