Home Made Ice Cream

Bookmark and Share

Richmond, IN. - It's summertime! And no summer can be called complete without some homemade ice cream. Making it is really very easy. And it's something the whole family can be part of.
If I am making Oreo ice cream I add crushed Oreo’s when ice cream is almost hard, and butter pecan I add pecans when ice cream is almost frozen. Just use your imagination!

Homemade Ice Cream

½ dozen eggs (at room temperature)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla (I use vanilla bean paste)
1 large package instant pudding (butter pecan, vanilla, Oreo, ect.)
2 cups whole milk
Enough whole milk to fill line of your ice cream freezer.

Whip the first three ingredients together, and add your vanilla, Eagle Brand Sweetened Milk, your instant pudding, plus 2 cups whole milk. Mix well and put into your ice cream freezer and add whole milk to the fill line. Freeze ice cream according to the manufacture directions of you ice cream freezer.
