Richmond, Indiana -- The recipe I am giving you all this evening is a very old recipe. I used to prepare this for our children when they were little. It seemed to show up at every birthday party or holiday. It didn’t matter if we were going on a picnic or if it was a special holiday like Christmas. My nephew, Phillip, used to ask for this all the time. His favorite was the chocolate version and that was probably all the kids favorite. I hope your family loves this as much as our family does. Lisa, our daughter, said she would like to have this one evening this week and said how much her children loved this recipe.

½ stick butter

1 ½ cups flour

¾ cup chopped nuts

1 8oz of Philadelphia Cream Cheese

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup Cool whip

1- 6 and ¾ oz. package instant pudding

3 cups of whole milk

Melt 1 ½ sticks butter in a medium glass baking dish add 1½ cups flour and ½ cup chopped nuts. Press in the bottom of a 13x9 glass baking dish, and bake for 15 minutes @ 375* or until lightly golden brown. Cool completely. Mix your 8ozs. Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 1 cup Cool Whip until smooth. Spread onto your cooled crust. Mix your pudding and milk with a mixer until thick and pour on top of the cream cheese mixture let this stand a few minutes and top with remaining Cool Whip and spread with remaining chopped nuts.

(Sometimes I use Lemon pudding) ENJOY!!!
