Madison Cookies

Bookmark and Share

This is a wonderful recipe that is adult tasty and children friendly! WOW what more could you ask for? Our granddaughter, Madison made these cookies for our Thanksgiving feast and they are delicious.

I hope all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving. I am so grateful to have our children close so we can share special Holidays together. It was nice to have both of the girls in the kitchen helping this year. I will admit this younger generation has different methods then I was taught, however, they get the same results, they just get them faster than I do.

It would be nice if all of our family could get together more often, we need to plan a family reunion sometime soon to see all of our cousins. Rick, our cousin from Texas said he was going to make the fruit salad from last week’s recipe for Thanksgiving. I will contact him to see how their Thanksgiving went and if they enjoyed it as much as we do. I will also see if he has a special recipe that he might like to share. I have Rick’s, Grandmother Virgie’s (my great aunt) recipe for carrot cake and soup beans. I can remember going in her back door every day after school (she lived two doors down the road from us) and learning something about cooking or baking. It always smelled so good. A person always knew where to find her, in the vegetable garden or in the kitchen.
