Pendleton, Indiana - Pendleton, Indiana has the distinct
distinction of having some of the most interesting and caring
people you'll find anywhere. One of these very special people is
Michelle Marks of Outfitters, Inc. You see, Michelle and crew,
of Outfitters, are in the smile business.
Outfitters opened in September 2004 and became an official
nonprofit organization in July 2005. With Michelle Marks,
director of development and Mary Harvey, director of operations,
plus a host of volunteers, they create a lot of smiles from
school age children of all ages in the South Madison Indiana
area. What their mission is is to provide new and gently used
in-style clothing to low-income children. These include children
from kindergarten through 12, within the South Madison Community
School Corporation in Indiana.
With local area schools about to start Outfitters are in one of
their two busiest times of the year. During the next few days it
is expected that over 350 shoppers will visit Outfitters.
