150 Race
was held
at Speed
Creek 2
Raceway
in Lapel
Saturday.
Several
classes
ran for
a great
cause
and
provided
a full
day of
great
racing
and
entertainment.
One of
the big
events
of the
day was
a race
featuring
the new
F200
Outlaw's
which
will be
part of
next
years
line up.
These
Karts
are
powered
by
Yamaha
engines
that can
develop
some
tremendous
speeds
around
Speed
Creek 2
Raceway's
1/8 mile
raceway
which is
one of
the
fastest
tracks
anywhere.Speed Creek 2 Raceway is located just outside of Lapel, 1 mile west of SR 13 on 1000 West or Atlantic Road off of Highway 32. The track 1/8 mile semi-banked asphalt oval. They have Friday nights practice with racing Saturday night. The classes for this past season were Karts, ChampKarts, and Naskarts.
